Welcome to Golden Lens Studios. By accessing our website and using our studio rental services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, do not use or access our site.

1. Use License

  1. Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials (information or software) on Golden Lens Studios' website for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

    • modify or copy the materials;
    • use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial);
    • attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained on Golden Lens Studios' website;
    • remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials; or
    • transfer the materials to another person or "mirror" the materials on any other server.

  2. This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by Golden Lens Studios at any time. Upon terminating your viewing of these materials or upon termination of this license, you must destroy any downloaded materials in your possession whether in electronic or printed format.

2. Studio Rental Agreement

  1. All studio rentals are subject to availability and confirmation by Golden Lens Studios. A booking is only confirmed upon receipt of a signed rental agreement and payment of the required deposit.

  2. Renters are responsible for adhering to the scheduled rental time. Overtime will be billed at a rate of $75 per hour, in 30-minute increments. Set-up and tear-down must occur within the rental period.

  3. The studio must be left in the same condition it was found. This includes, but is not limited to, cleaning up any trash, returning equipment to its original location, and notifying Golden Lens Studios of any damages incurred during the rental period. Cleaning fees may apply if the studio is not left in satisfactory condition.

  4. Golden Lens Studios is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings left on the premises. Renters are encouraged to secure their valuables at all times.

  5. Renters are liable for any damage to studio equipment, property, or facilities caused by themselves, their employees, or their clients. Repair or replacement costs will be assessed and billed accordingly.

3. Equipment Rental

  1. Equipment rental is available subject to availability. A separate equipment rental agreement must be signed, outlining the terms of use and liability.

  2. All equipment must be returned in the same condition it was received. Any damage to equipment will be the responsibility of the renter, and repair or replacement costs will be charged.

  3. Golden Lens Studios provides basic instruction on equipment usage. However, renters are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to operate the equipment safely and effectively. We also offer training sessions with Marcus Lee, our lead instructor, for an additional fee. Contact us at [email protected] to schedule a session.

4. Conduct and Safety

  1. Renters are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner. Any disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement without refund.

  2. Safety is paramount. Renters must adhere to all safety guidelines provided by Golden Lens Studios. Use of pyrotechnics or other hazardous materials is strictly prohibited without prior written consent.

  3. Children under the age of 16 must be supervised at all times.

  4. No smoking is allowed within the studio premises. Designated smoking areas are available outside the building.

5. Intellectual Property

All content included on this site, such as text, graphics, logos, images, audio clips, digital downloads, data compilations, and software, is the property of Golden Lens Studios or its content suppliers and protected by United States and international copyright laws. The compilation of all content on this site is the exclusive property of Golden Lens Studios and protected by U.S. copyright laws.

6. Disclaimer

The materials on Golden Lens Studios' website are provided "as is". Golden Lens Studios makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties, including without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights. Further, Golden Lens Studios does not warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the use of the materials on its website or otherwise relating to such materials or on any sites linked to this site.

7. Limitations

In no event shall Golden Lens Studios or its suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on Golden Lens Studios' website, even if Golden Lens Studios or a Golden Lens Studios authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.

8. Revisions and Errata

The materials appearing on Golden Lens Studios' website could include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. Golden Lens Studios does not warrant that any of the materials on its website are accurate, complete, or current. Golden Lens Studios may make changes to the materials contained on its website at any time without notice. Golden Lens Studios does not, however, make any commitment to update the materials.

Golden Lens Studios has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its website and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by Golden Lens Studios of the site. Use of any such linked website is at the user's own risk.

10. Terms of Use Modifications

Golden Lens Studios may revise these terms of use for its website at any time without notice. By using this website you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these Terms and Conditions.

11. Governing Law

Any claim relating to Golden Lens Studios' website shall be governed by the laws of the State of California without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding relating to your access to, or use of, the website or its content shall be instituted only in a state or federal court located in San Francisco, California.

12. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the scheduled rental will receive a full refund of the deposit. Cancellations made within 7 days but more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled rental will receive a 50% refund of the deposit. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled rental will forfeit the entire deposit. We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise.
